The transfer of administration from outgoing Governor Art Yap to Governor Aristotle Aumentado had been smooth and fruitful. One of the highlights of June 30 celebration is the holding of Abante Bohol Business Dialogue attended by local and national investors. Abante Bohol Business Dialogue aims for Governance Transition towards Continuity and Sustainability of PGBh Development Programs and Projects in support to the incoming administration’s priorities of eradicating corruption, institutionalizing good governance, and putting the welfare of Boholanos first.
Among the attendees are high-ranking officials and representatives of the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) and Presidents of HGS Healthcare/ Betaine –PH BV, Robinson Land Corporation, Philippine AirAsia, GAA Delgado Incorporated, Prime Metro Power Holdings Corp, Ahunan Power, Visayas Neceboley Interlink Holdings Corp., AC Energy, VG Puyat Group of Companies, Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries – Philippines Inc., RDAK Group of Companies/ Harley Davidson-Cebu and Cebu Pacific. Bohol’s partner in various economic development projects, World Bank Office – Manila, was also represented by Mr. Dominic Aumentado.
A dinner with the Governor, his Transition Management Team and the PGBH Department Heads was held before the presentation of Bohol’s Investment Opportunities by Atty. John Titus Vistal, the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator. Investment opportunities, incentives, and multilateral cooperation are presented to potential investors who are invited to support the incoming administration’s economic development roadmap to achieve inclusive growth. In conclusion, initial exploratory talks were held between potential investors and the Provincial Government of Bohol for the identification of concrete steps forward. This activity is the initial step towards economic development partnership.
