The Provincial Government of Bohol distributed twenty-six canes and five wheelchairs canes in celebration of the Elderly Filipino Week Celebration in Sevilla.
Through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development, 31 elders received ambulatory assistive devices at the Sevill Municipal Gymnasium on November 3, 2022. Sevilla Municipal Mayor Hon. Julier B. Dano for PGBh’s continuous support for the elderly in Sevilla.
“It is then with great honor that the undersigned, on behalf of the entire Municipality of Sevilla, would like to express our most sincere gratitude for the strong support you have given us in the recently concluded Elderly Filipino Week Celebration,” Hon. Dano said.
1,160 senior citizens attended the event in celebration of
Elderly Filipino Week, often celebrated every October 1 to 7 by Proclamation No. 470, issued by then-President Fidel Ramos on September 26, 1994.
