The Provincial Legal Office offers free legal services for the people of Brgy. Bayawahan, Sevilla, as part of the Provincial Government of Bohol on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

As part of Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado’s program of bringing government services to remote areas, PLO offers pro-bono legal services, such as legal advises, civil affidavits, clerical errors, and education on human rights.

“Dili tanan ang naay access to legal services, mao na importante nga ang government mo buhat og mga ingani nga programa aron mahatagan nato og chance ang mga katawhan nga makahibaw sa ilang katungod,” according to Atty. Frances Genievive Galinato, Provincial Legal Officer.

Atty. Galinato added that most legal problems they hear from Boholanos are land rights and violence against women and children.

“It’s about giving the people the opportunity to know their rights as citizens,” she added.

PLO will offer more pro-bono legal services in the future as part of PGBh’s Civic Action Program to remote areas in the Province.
