Approximately 1,000 kilos of fresh bangus were harvested from a fish cage in Bien Unido, Bohol after 4 months of stocking way back in August 11, 2022 as part of OPA’s major fishery programs and intervention to increase fishery production through culture fisheries technologies.
The harvested bangus were sold to the local market at P130.00 per kilo.
Mr. Gerry Garcia and Mr. Gaudencio Garcia, presidents of both Hugpong Sa Mananagat Sa Sambag, Bien Unido (HUMASA) of Alegria, Bien Unido and Gagmayng Mananagat Sa Alegria (GAMA) of Puerto San Pedro, Bien Unido respectively extended their heartfelt thanks to the strong support of the Provincial Government of Bohol thru the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and the Local Government Unit of Bien Unido who represented the Bangus Fish cage Program beneficiaries.
