The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) organized today the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Stakeholders’ Consultation Meeting, in partnership with TESDA-Bohol, Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region VII.
Governor Aris Aumentado, who was represented by Chief of Staff Antonio Amora Jr., stressed the importance of convergence and complementation between stakeholders in the advancement of the ICT sector. Regional Director Frederick DC Amores of DICT Region VII, for his part, emphasized the important role of the ICT sector and its huge potential globally.
The consultation aimed at exploring the possibility of integrating ICT into commercial, educational and government transactions. With the active leadership of the Aumentado administration, the Provincial Government is pushing the ICT-Business Process Management (ICT-BPM) as one key growth area in creating job opportunities for Boholanos.
