The Provincial Government of Bohol, through the Office of the Governor, warmly welcomed Japanese Consul General Yamaji Hideki. Yamaji described Bohol as naturally beautiful and the Boholanos cheerful, smiling and warm. Governor Aris Aumentado shared the development roadmap of the province and its plan to develop economic zones.

The Consul General expressed his support to the Provincial Government’s development agenda and is willing to look into possible Japanese investments in the province. The economic zones aim to attract more investments and encourage tourism activities in the province by offering incentives and tax holidays.

Also discussed was the establishment of sisterhood ties between Bohol and Japanese prefectures and cities in the areas of tourism, arts and culture, and education.
