The Provincial Government of Bohol under the administration of Gov. Aris Aumentado prepares Bohol for force majeure events such as earthquakes, typhoons, pandemics, and any other disaster that would hit the province. The recent visit of A2D Project to the governor eyes to strengthen the localized early warning system and communication system of the local government as a means to contribute in the substantial reduction of disaster risk and losses in lives, livelihoods, and health and in the economic, physical, social, cultural, and environmental assets of persons, businesses, and communities.

A2D Project – Research Group for Alternatives to Development, Inc. is a non-profit, non-government organization that works towards improving lives through evidence-informed development practice. The organization has partnered with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) for a project called “INVESTING IN DISASTER RISK REDUCTION FOR RESILIENCE: A Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the NGCP with Guidance from the Sendai Framework”.

Bohol is one of the partner provinces of the project, together with Northern Samar, Quezon, Aklan, Rizal and Misamis Oriental. One automated weather system was turned over to the province by A2D last Monday, September 19, 2022 and the governor was also oriented with DRR4RESILIENCE, a web portal where DRRM offices and all other related data are posted which is part of the project.
