“The Police Regional Office assured the Bohol community of round the clock quality police service,” Chief of Regional Staff Aladdin Collado said during opening ceremony for the Bohol Provincial Police Office Integrated Tourist-Oriented Police for Community Order and Protection (TOPCOP) training on Monday morning.
Collado said extraordinary service is expected of the uniformed men especially in tourist-dense areas in the province.
Speaking on behalf of guest of honor Gov. Aris Aumentado, Executive Assistant Art Evangelista stated that TOPCOP is timely as the province is on the road towards tourism recovery.
He emphasized that an effective tourism and security frontline is primordial with the influx of tourists in the province after the pandemic lockdowns.
A partnership of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), the TOPCOP training focuses on tourism awareness, tourist safety, and the Filipino Brand of service.
Chief Tourism Operations Officer of Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 7 Judy Gabato presented directions on tourism development and economic recovery.
